Sweat if Off || Day 3

Move, Nourish

Today I ran alone. I don’t usually last very long when I run alone because no one will know if I stop after 5 minutes and that’s enough to make me stop. I didn’t give up too easily though and because I had to bring my sister to her class in UP and wait for her class to end, I decided to do my run there. I only intended to run the minimum 30 minutes, but since I didn’t calculate my route well, it took me an extra 10 minutes to get back to my sister’s building where I parked. I still managed of course, I just wanted some water already because my throat was as dry as a desert, or at least it felt like it was.

I ran around the different parts of UP that I haven’t ran through before just to keep it interesting. So far my legs have been very supportive of my running and haven’t really felt sore. Let’s see how I feel tomorrow.

Today’s Run:

Time: 40mins

Distance: 4.68km

Location: UP Diliman

What I ate today:

Breakfast: Passion Fruit, Honeydew Melon, and a few Honey Bananas

Lunch: Raw Coco, Papaya, and Durian

Dinner: Mango Salsa with Jicama Chips and Raw Coco to finish off the night.

Whenever I go completely raw, it seems like that’s when I am most adventurous with cooking. It’s been 3 days, and I have been cooking lots of good vegan food for my family. I’ve pretty much been getting away with not tasting the food either, I usually just ask my youngest sister if it’s okay already. She usually says it’s perfect (but now that I think about it she might not be the best judge. Although my dad does enjoy the food I make)! Another thing I’ve improved on in the kitchen is my ability to cook just enough for two people. I’m not yet perfect at it, but I’m getting better at portioning meals for people with normal appetites (my dad says I eat for 4 people, wahahaha). I hate cooking too much because I usually end up finishing off the food because I don’t want it to go to waste. But recently I have been making just enough.

My dad bought some durian today, and it was glorious. It wasn’t a lot, but it was a taste of heaven. I know a lot of people hate durian but I also know a lot of people who love it as much as I do.

I don’t drink coffee, I never really did like it unless it had a lot of creamer. I wanted my coffee to be 90% creamer and 10% coffee when I was at my grandma’s house. I’ve also always been a morning person. I love waking up and getting things done when the sun comes up so coffee in the morning is really unnecessary for me. I know a lot of people that say that they cannot function without their morning coffee, and I’m not one of them. I used to love hot or cold chocolate though, or Milo as a child, and as a teen. But now that I always have tons of energy, I never need to look for caffeine to get an energy boost. But whenever I’m feeling a bit low on battery but still want to exercise in the afternoon I simply make myself a batch of Raw Coco and I am set on high for the next couple of hours. After I discovered the beautiful power of dates, I never need any type of unhealthy processed energy drink, I just need my carbs.

I hope you guys had an energy filled day! I’m gonna finish my coco now.

Peace and love,
